Individual Retirement Accounts

Enjoy tax savings and build security for retirement with an IRA. IRAs are one of the best tax-savings tools available, even with the changes brought on by the Tax Reform Act of 1986. An IRA investment grows tax-deferred. You don't pay taxes on interest you earn until you withdraw it. This means your money grows faster than similar investments outside the IRA. Also, your account is insured by the FDIC for up to $250,000.00. IRA accounts can be opened with a minimum deposit of $1,000.00.

Our IRA customers may invest in most of our regular Certificates of Deposit at a fixed rate (except those shorter than 1 1/2 yrs). The interest rate will be in effect for the term of the deposit.

Additionally, we offer a variable rate 18 month Certificate of Deposit. The interest rate and annual percentage yield may change after account opening. The interest rate may change once a month and is based on the yield of one year Treasury Securities as published in the Wall Street Journal. Additional contributions, to the extent permitted by the IRS, may be made to this account.

Additional IRS rules apply to Retirement Accounts.

All other terms and conditions are the same as our regular Certificates of Deposit.
